Comprehensive exploration project management is a core business service provided by SolstenXP. In our first major job in 1993/1994 we served as project manager for Amerada Hess Corporation for drilling of the Northstar No. 3 well on the North Slope. SolstenXP managed and executed all operational matters on the well, including permitting, contracting, ice road construction, drilling engineering and supervision, P&A, location demobilization and end of well reports. Since then, SolstenXP has served in similar capacities for many clients such as Eni Petroleum, Rampart Energy, Armstrong Oil & Gas, UltraStar Exploration, Brooks Range Petroleum Corporation and other operators in varying capacities.

In 1997, ARCO Alaska, Inc. (now ConocoPhillips Alaska, Inc.) contracted SolstenXP to undertake the wintertime drilling of the Warthog #1 offshore exploration well in the Beaufort Sea. This project was performed on a lump sum turnkey basis utilizing the bottom-founded arctic class MODU Glomar Beaufort Sea I drilling vessel. For the Warthog #1 project, SolstenXP performed complete site clearance work, all permitting, drilling engineering and supervision, logistics management and P&A of the well. SolstenXP also contracted for all necessary services to complete the well on time and within budget. The well remains to this day the most efficiently drilled and lowest cost well ever drilled in the Beaufort Sea.

 Eni Petroleum appointed SolstenXP to perform as project manager for the drilling of their Rock Flour #2, Rock Flour #3, Rock Flour Well #4 and Maggiore #1 wells on the North Slope. SolstenXP provided drilling engineering, on-site drilling supervision, procurement and logistics support, site clean-up and inspection and worked in the capacity of general contractor for the project.

 In mid-winter of 2007, SolstenXP was asked to join an ongoing exploratory drilling campaign being operated by Brooks Range Petroleum Corporation. Since then, SolstenXP has provided drilling engineering, on-site drilling supervision, comprehensive materials procurement and logistics, P&A, end of well reporting, site clean-up and agency inspection for their Sak River #1, North Shore #1 and North Shore #3 wells in the Beechy Point unit at Gwydyr bay along with their Tofkat well near the village of Nuiqsut. |
 SolstenXP was contracted by Armstrong Oil & Gas, LLC to perform workover, drilling and testing of gas exploration wells on the Kenai Peninsula.
SolstenXP continues to provide drilling engineering, on-site drilling supervision, comprehensive materials procurement and logistics support, well reporting and agency coordination for various Armstrong projects.

 SolstenXP supported Ultra Star Exploration, LLC during the 2003 drilling of their Oliktok Pt. State #1 well and later in 2009/2010 provided project management for exploration drilling of their Dewline #1 well on the North Slope. Project coordination included ice road and pad construction, drilling engineering, on-site drilling supervision, a complete materials procurement and logistics support package along with end of well reporting, site clean-up and agency inspection. |
